Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of MCARTUR Financial Tracker (the "Service"), operated by McArtur Digital Ventures, a sole proprietorship based in the United States. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

MCARTUR is a web application to organize income, budget and debts, compare payoff strategies and explore work and skills ideas. It is an educational and planning tool.

2. Not financial advice

The Service does not provide financial, legal, tax or investment advice. Calculations are estimates based on the information you enter. Decisions you make are your responsibility; consult a qualified professional when you need one. The Service is not a credit counseling or credit repair service, does not settle or negotiate debts, and does not offer loans, investments or money handling.

3. Your account

You must provide accurate information, keep your password confidential and be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for activity on your account. Access is limited to a maximum of 2 active devices per account; devices not used for 14 days or more may be released automatically so you can use a new one.

4. Subscription and payments

There are two plans with the same access: MCARTUR Personal Monthly costs US$15 per month and MCARTUR Personal Annual costs US$59 per year. Each plan renews automatically (monthly or yearly) until you cancel. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited and its affiliates, depending on your location). Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: it processes payments, applies the taxes that correspond to your location and handles billing, refunds and billing inquiries. By purchasing you also accept the Paddle Buyer Terms. Your access is activated automatically once payment is confirmed.

If you are on the monthly plan, you can switch to the annual plan from the app (Settings → My subscription) at any time while your subscription is active. Before you confirm you will see the exact amount: you are charged immediately the price of the annual plan minus a prorated credit for the time you did not use in the current monthly period. The new annual period starts when you confirm and renews every year until you cancel. This prorated credit applies only when switching plans and is not a refund. The charge for the plan change is not a first charge, so it is not covered by the 7-day money-back guarantee in section 5. If the charge cannot be completed, the change is not applied and you stay on your monthly plan.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time from the billing portal. After you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for, and your subscription will not renew.

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with your subscription, email info@mcarturdigital.com within 7 days of your first charge (when you first subscribe) and we will refund that charge in full, no explanation needed. Renewals, monthly or annual, are not covered by the guarantee: to avoid a future charge, cancel before the renewal date. After that period and on renewals, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for unused time or partial periods, except for the prorated credit applied when you switch plans (section 4) and where required by applicable law. Refunds are processed through Paddle, our merchant of record, and may take a few days to appear on your payment method.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service unlawfully, attempt unauthorized access to systems or accounts, interfere with its operation, share your access beyond the device limit or resell the Service.

7. Your data

Your financial data is yours and is stored on your device. You are responsible for creating backups; the app includes "Save Copy" in Settings and reminds you to do it periodically. See the Privacy Policy for details.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, its design and its brand belong to McArtur Digital Ventures. You are granted a personal, limited, non-transferable license to use it while your access is active.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may modify or improve features. If we make material changes to these terms, we will let you know.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and McArtur Digital Ventures is not liable for indirect damages or for financial decisions made based on the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the previous 12 months.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
