Privacy Policy

MCARTUR Financial Tracker is operated by McArtur Digital Ventures, a sole proprietorship based in the United States. This policy explains what data we use and how we protect it. The core idea is simple: your financial data lives on your device, not on our servers. Our servers and providers only handle your account, subscription and device data, as detailed below.

1. Data stored only on your device

Your debts, income, budget, work-ideas profile ("About You"), language, country and any backups you create are stored in your browser's local storage. They are not sent to, synced with or shared with us or any third party. If you clear your browser data or change devices without a backup, that information is lost.

2. Data we store on our servers

To operate your account and subscription we store only:

• Your email address, first and last name and country (when you sign up).
• Whether you opted in to receive news, the date you did so (never pre-checked) and, if you later unsubscribe, the date you did.
• The status and expiry date of your access or subscription.
• Devices registered to your account: a random identifier, a label such as "Chrome — Windows", the platform and when it was last used. Used only to enforce the device limit; devices not used for 14 days or more may be released automatically.
• Standard technical logs kept by our servers and providers (such as IP address and request timestamps), used for security and operation.

We never store creditor names, balances, interest rates, credit limits, income, budget, debt history, analyses or projections on our servers.

3. Service providers

• Supabase: account authentication and the account and subscription database (this is where your email, name, country, subscription status and device list are kept). Sends the verification and password-reset emails.
• Hostinger: web hosting and the servers where the app and our API run.
• Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited and its affiliates), our merchant of record: it processes payments, calculates and collects taxes and manages billing, refunds and cancellations. Paddle handles your purchase data under its Privacy Policy. When you open the payment window, your browser loads the Paddle script (cdn.paddle.com), which can see your IP address. We do not receive or store your card details; we receive your subscription status and a customer identifier.
• O*NET Web Services (U.S. Department of Labor): occupation search sends your search text to our server, which queries O*NET. No financial data is sent.
• Content delivery network (jsDelivr): when you open the app, your browser downloads the authentication library from it and, the first time you scan a statement, the image-reading engine (OCR). That network can see your IP address. The image or PDF is processed in your browser and is never uploaded to any server.
• Exchange-rate service (ExchangeRate-API, open.er-api.com): the currency converter requests rates from your browser. Only the currency code is sent, never amounts or any personal or financial data.
• Sharing (optional): if you tap the share button for WhatsApp or email, that app opens with the public MCARTUR link; none of your data is included.

4. Browser storage and cookies

We use browser storage only for essentials: keeping you signed in, remembering your language and country and holding your local data. We do not use advertising cookies or analytics or tracking tools.

5. How we use your data

To create and protect your account, activate and validate your access, enforce the device limit, send you necessary service emails (verification, password reset) and, only if you opted in, MCARTUR news. You can change that choice at any time in Settings inside the app, or with the unsubscribe link included in every news email. We do not sell your data.

6. Retention and deletion

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. You can request deletion of your account by emailing info@mcarturdigital.com. You control your local data and can delete it at any time from Settings or by clearing your browser data.

7. Security

Communication with our services uses HTTPS. Access to account data requires authentication, and service keys are never exposed in the app.

8. Children

MCARTUR is not directed to people under 18.

9. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will post the new version here with its date.
